Currently there's a lot going on in my world, both artistically and personally. I have been working a lot and traveling a lot for my job, which can be somewhat time consuming. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all. I love my job! I've just been spending more time on the road lately than I am used to. The good part, however, is that the more work I do the more money I make. And I do like to make money!
I have also been attempting to work out. It seems I've reached the age that I can no longer rely solely on my metabolism to keep me thin. It's not something I'm used to doing, so after about a half hour at the gym I'm already at the point of pushing my limits lol. Today is the last day of my free trial membership though, so I'm going to try to squeeze in one last workout before I decide whether or not to take the plunge into a paid membership.
Art-wise, I've been taking a break from my usual comic battle shenanigans at WFA in order to do a lengthy side story for my character Malcolm. However, with how busy real life has been lately, it's been a slow process. When the project is finished it will be probably longer than a standard comic book, with Malcolm as the main character, but also featuring cameo appearances from many various WFA characters owned by different various artists. With this project I have also decided to try out a different art style. It's still lineless vector cartoon like usual, but it's even more cartoony looking this time, taking inspiration from many of the Cartoon Network favorite classics, such as Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, and Samurai Jack. Surprisingly, its a lot more difficult of a style to accomplish without looking like I'm ripping some specific style off, so therefore a single page is taking roughly twice as long to do than it usually does for me. My unrealistic (and most likely going to be delayed) goal is to finish this comic by the time Round 21 voting concludes at WFA, allowing me to participate in the battles next round.
Also, for my birthday this year I received a medium sized Intuos 4. Needless to say, I about creamed myself when I opened it. I can't thank everyone who contributed to this gift enough! I'm still getting used to using it, because it is nothing like my old bamboo was and I haven't had much time to put into drawing lately, but it's certainly a huge improvement over my old 4x6 bamboo. It controls much smoother and more accurately, and the buttons that change function depending on what program I am using is a freaking nice feature! Thanks again to my family and friends who contributed to this most incredible gift!

The kids are building fires by their homes
The smoke is sending signals out in code, yeah
And these safety suits and these parachutes, I don't know
You gotta stop, drop, roll
Thanks for giving me the favorite.
Thought you should know that. :q
